PNRD Assam Recruitment 2024: The Panchayat and Rural Development Assam has released an online noitification mentioning of  Ombudsperson vacancies in the department. The mentioned post is under the Mahatma Gandhi NREGA & Pandan Mantri Awaas Yojna- Gramin (PMAY- G). The online application has started from 15 March and will end on 14 April 2024.

PNRD Assam Recruitment 2024

The PNRD Assam is inviting eligible candidates with required qualification and experience for filling up of vacant posts of Ombudsperson. The online application portal is already open from 15 March 2024. Candidates willing to apply can fill the form accordingly.

The posting of the selected candidates will be done across 20 districts of Assam. Details about the districts and eligibility criteria is mentioned below.


Name of the Post- Ombudsperson ( 20 Posts)

Qualification & Experience: The candidates planning to apply should have at least 10 years of experience in public administration, law, academics, social work or management and should not be a member of a recognized political party or banned organization. 

At the same time the candidate must be physically active and capable of conducting field tours, inspections and should be able to visit remote locations in the districts.

Salary- The Ombudsperson shall be allowed compensation only in the form of fee of Rs 2,250 per sitting, and the maximum upper limit should be Rs 45,000/- per month. Apart from that basic TA/DA as admissible to Class- I officer of the State Government will be paid for conducting field visits.

Note: Candidate who wants to be posted in any of the mentioned districts may apply for all distrcits, and any candidate who wants to be posted in any of the zones mentioned above than they may apply zone wise.

Bajali, Baksa, Biswanath, Bongaigaon, Cachar, Charaideo, Demaji, Dibrugarh, Golaghat, Hailakandi, Hojai, Jorhat, Karbi Anglong, Karimganj, Kokrajhar, Nagaon, Sivsagar, Tamulpur, Udalguri, West Karbi Anglong

B) Zones:

Zone 1: Charaideo, Dhemaji, Dibrugarh, Golaghat, Jorhat, Sivsagar

Zone 2: West Karbi Anglong, Karbi Anglong

Zone 3: Bajali, Baksa, Kokrajhar, Tamulpur, Udalguri, Bongaigaon

Zone 4: Biswanath, Hojai, Nagaon

Zone 5: Cachar, Hailakandi, Karimganj

Appointment Period

The candidate shall be appointed for a tenure of 2 years, extendable not more than twice by one year each based on performance appraisal process or till the incubment attains the age of 68 years whichever is earlier.
